Mandelic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid that is naturally derived from bitter almonds. The molecular structure of mandelic acid is larger than other AHA’s, such as glycolic acid. The larger molecule means mandelic acid causes much less irritation with less erythema.
Mandelic Acid is extremely beneficial in treating acne, reducing fine lines and wrinkles and reducing pigmentation issues.
• Acne – Has antibacterial properties, regulates sebum production, clears pores preventing recurrence of acne
• Breaks up hyperpigmentation and melasma caused by sun damage, PIH and hormones
• Ingredients to help skin retain moisture by up to 84%
• Reduces inflammation
• Encourages exfoliation and reduce acne scars
Mandelic Acid has antibacterial properties, regulates sebum production to help prevent the recurrence of outbreaks, clears pores, exfoliates and increases cell turnover. For issues of hyperpigmentation and melasma, mandelic acid breaks up discoloration caused by such things as sun damage, (PIH), and hormones. It also exfoliates dead skin, increases cell turnover, strengthens collagen to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and improves the skin’s overall texture and appearance.
Azelaic Acid provides anti-inflammatory benefits, is antibacterial and provides exfoliation all while helping slow the production of abnormal melanocytes, helping to minimize unwanted discoloration.
Niacinamide helps regulate excessive sebum production, fade dark spots/hyperpigmentation, and reduces skin inflammation.
Lactic Acid encourages skin exfoliation and helps to reduce the appearance of acne scars and pigmentation.
Sodium PCA binds moisture to skin cells.
